The Flying Scotsman is a go-to for the locals. Wide variety of drinks available on tap & a great food menu.It's become the meeting grounds fir my friends and I due to their Wednesday special nights with $10 jugs on select beers & wine.
Too hot, grumpy service, but great 'proper pub' feel and had both indoor (open to the outside, on a 39 day hence "too hot") and outdoor seating with plenty of room. Didn't have any food, but the kitchen was in plain site (a good sign for cleanliness?) and the kitchen staff appeared to be taking pride in their work. Could still taste like @r$e obviously, but I would be willing to bet it doesnt and I hope to go back soon for a non-business reason and try the food.
Nice cold beers, too bad my fish was over cooked. overall the atmosphere is great! staff were very welcoming.
Toilets are better presentable now lads but avoid the steaks! Ordered 2 medium and they came out black like Krakatoa and more carbon than a Collie coal field! .... 300gm was presented at 100 at $36ea! Requested a refund, they tried to short change what I actually paid for! Not one for you mother this establishment, for a $5 Sunday pizza you know just what the kitchen staff are paid!
Food is good, and the drink selection is brilliant.On the upper end price wise, but not unusual for the area.Good location with easy to access parking and public transport.Busy place, which of anything is a testament to the quality of the venue.Good for an evening drink, a Sunday sesh or just dinner with friends.
